Study under progress: --

  • The National Science, Technology & Management Information System (NSTMIS), division of DST, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India recently entrusted the study entitled "Estimation of R&D in Micro , Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in India" to be covered 11 industrial sectors like Agricultural Machinery, Automotive,
Chemical Drug & Pharma, Electronics, Gems & Jewelry, Leather, Light Engineering, Machine Tools, Scientific Instruments, Textiles & Garment. The time duration of the study is 24 months. Keeping in view the time and cost in consultation with the department it is decided that a total of 12000 units will be covered for data collection that is on an average of 30-35 units per cluster as per the scope defined above. In consultation with the division, it is also agreed that units will be selected based on the Random Stratified Systematic Sampling Technique. That is with in the Strata of various out put groups, the sampling will be randomly systematic in the ratio of 1:7 (1, 7, 14….. or 2, 9, 16…….3, 10, 17…….etc.). Data will only be collected from the clusters in the MSMEs from the different states of the country covering registered manufacturing organizations in select industrial sectors and projected Sates having 10 & more than 10 clusters in the select industrial sectors are only covered.

Due to the expertise gained in consultancy services, NAFEN is recognized by the World Bank, USA; ADB, Manila; Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR), Govt. of India and Consultancy Development Centre (CDC) as a leading Consultancy and R&D organization in the country.
