Seminars & Training Porgrammes

  • Due to policy of Liberalization, Globalization & Privatization (LPG), a number of MNCs have come to our country. In order to be competitive, we have to match our human resources to International Standards. With this mandate, as on date, we have organized following major MDP's.

  • One Day National Seminar on "Quality, Productivity, Entrepreneurship in Higher Technical & Management Education and Innovations in Energy Conservation" on 21st July, 1993 at India International Centre inaugurated by Shri M. Arunchalam, Hon’ble Minister of State for Industry (Deptt. of Small Scale Industries and Agro & Rural Industries), Govt. of India.

  • One day seminar on "Interaction between Large sector and Small sector" in association with Delhi State Industrial Development Corporation, Delhi on 7th April, 1994 at DSIDC Business Centre, New Delhi.

  • Two day training Program on "Work Culture and Accountability" for Senior Faculty Members of Polytechnics, under the administrative control of Government of Delhi. This seminar was inaugurated by Shri P.M. Sayeed, Hob’ble Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Govt. of India and Presided by Shri Sahib Singh Verma, Hon’ble Minister for Education and Development, Govt. of Delhi on 18-19th July, 1994 at India International Centre, New Delhi.

  • Two day National Programme on Excellence in Higher Technical Education for Department of Training & Technical Education, Government of Delhi on 7-8th November, 1994. This Seminar was inaugurated by Shri Arjun Singh, Hon’ble Union Minister of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India and Presided by Shri Sahib Singh Verma, Hon’ble Minister for Education and Development, Govt. of Delhi. The Valedictory Session was headed by Shri P.M. Sayeed, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Govt. of India.

  • 6 Weeks Entrepreneurship Development Programme jointly with DSIDC from 14th August, 1995 to 23rd September, 1995 at DSIDC Business Centre, Baba Kharag Singh Marg, New Delhi. This programme was supported by Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India. This Programme was inaugurated by Shri H.S. Balli, Hon'ble Minister for Industries, Govt. of Delhi.

  • 5 day training programme on Environment & Eco-Friendly Technologies for senor faculty members of polytechnics under the administrative control of Department of Training & Technical Education, Govt. of Delhi from 4th October, 1995 to 8th October, 1995 at New Delhi. This programme was organized in collaboration with Department of Training & Technical Education, Govt. of Delhi. This programme was inaugurated by Shri P.M. Sayeed, Hon'ble Minister for Information & Broadcasting, Govt. of India.

  • One day training programme on Technology Options for Entrepreneurs for Delhi Institute of Technology on 8th April, 1996 at New Delhi. This programme was inaugurated by Shri Sahib Singh, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Delhi, Govt. of Delhi.

  • One day National Programme on Linkages in Higher Professional Education for Delhi Institute of Technology on 12th April, 1996 at New Delhi. This programme was also inaugurated by Shri Sahib Singh, Hon'ble Chief Minister, Govt. of Delhi.

  • 6 Weeks 2nd Entrepreneurship Development Programme jointly with DSIDC from 17th February, 1997 to 30th March, 1997 at DSIDC Business Centre, Baba Kharag Singh Marg, New Delhi. This programme was supported by Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India. This Programme was inaugurated by Shri N. Vittal, IAS, Chairman, Public Enterprises Selection Board, Govt. of India.

  • Top level Management Meet on "Managing Strategically-21st Century" hold on 19-21st April, 1999, with supported by Ford India. This Meet inaugurated by Dr. D.V. Singh, Vice Chairman, AICTE, Govt. of India. This Meet followed by a Panel Discussion under the Chairmanship of Shri N. Vittal, CVC, Govt. of India.

  • 2 weeks Entrepreneurship Development Program from 5-17, February,2001 for faculty members of Engineering, Management, Science & Arts colleges. The program was fully supported by National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB), Deptt. of Science & Technology, Govt. of India.

  • 2nd -Entrepreneurship Development Program from 4-16, February,2002 for faculty members of Engineering, Management, Science & Arts colleges. The program was fully supported by National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB), Deptt. of Science & Technology, Govt. of India.

  • 3rd -Entrepreneurship Development Program from 3-15, February,2003 for faculty members of Engineering, Management, Science & Arts colleges. The program was fully supported by National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB), Deptt. of Science & Technology, Govt. of India.

  • 4th -Entrepreneurship Development Programme organised from 8th December, 2003 to 20th December, 2003 with the full supported from NSTEDB, DST, Ministry of S&T, Govt. of India for the women faculty members working in various polytechnics, under the administrative control of Directorate of Training & Technical Education, Govt. of Delhi. Various resource experts drawn from Ministry, Industry and Academics conducted the programme. This programme was inaugurated on 8th December, 2003 by Dr. H.K. Mittal, Advisor & Head, NSTEDB, DST, Ministry of S&T, Govt. of India. Valedictory address was delivered by Mr. Amitava Basu, Director, Intercontinental Consultants & technocrats Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi; Dr. Mrs. Meera Passi, Deputy Director (SD), Deptt. of Training & Technical Education, Govt. of Delhi also graced the valedictory session and gave the merit certificates to the participants.

  • 5th -Entrepreneurship Development Programme organised from 13th December, 2004 to 27th December, 2004 with the full supported from NSTEDB, DST, Ministry of S&T, Govt. of India for the faculty members working in various polytechnics, under the administrative control of Directorate of Training & Technical Education, Govt. of Delhi. Various resource experts drawn from Ministry, Industry and Academics conducted the programme. This programme was inaugurated on 13th December, 2003 by Mr. Neeraj Sharma, Director, NSTEDB, DST, Ministry of S&T, Govt. of India. Valedictory address was delivered by Prof. Asok De, Head, Department of I.T., Delhi College of Engineering, Delhi on 27th December, 2004 and awarded of certificates to each participants.

  • Organised Management Development Programme from 17th – 21st January, 2005 for the faculty of Delhi College of Engineering (DCE), Delhi. Prof. P.B. Sharma, Principal, DCE inaugurated the programme on 17th January, 2005. Dr. P.K. Gupta, Secretary General, NAFEN presided the inaugural session. NAFEN Resource experts shared their experiences and motivated the faculty of DCE to face the multi-challenge environment. 25 Faculty Members attended the programme and interacted with the NAFEN Resource persons. The Experts gave latest inputs, with classroom system, group discussions and case studies/ successful stories. On the valedictory session on 21st January, 2005, Prof. P.B. Sharma & Dr. P.K. Gupta awarded certificates to each participant.

  • Organized two week-end management development programme on 14-15 & 21-22 January, 2006 for the faculty & officers of Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT), New Delhi. Dr. Laxman Parsad, Adviser & Head, NSTMIS, Department of Science & Technology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India inaugurated the programme and Prof. (Dr.) Ranjit Singh, Director, NSIT presided on 14th January, 2006. Dr. P.K. Gupta, Secretary General, NAFEN welcomed the participants and briefed about the programme. NAFEN Resource experts shared their experiences and motivated the faculty & officers of NSIT to face the multi-challenge environment. 21 Faculty Members attended the programme and interacted with the NAFEN Resource persons. The Experts gave latest inputs about the topics like Stress Management, Personality Development, Attitude & its Measurement, Decision Making Process, Management by Objectives, Leadership Qualities, Group Dynamics etc., with classroom system and group discussions. The valedictory session on 22nd January, 2006 was chaired by Prof. (Dr.) Ranjit Singh and awarded merit certificates to each participant.
  • Organized 6th two weeks Faculty Development Programme for Entrepreneurship Development under full support from National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB), Department of Science & Technology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India from 26th December, 2005 to 7th January, 2006 at NAFEN office, New Delhi. The main objective of the Ministry is to support such type of programmes, to train as many professionals as possible to act as the resource persons for promoting Entrepreneurship among the students. To meet this objective, NAFEN draws various resource experts from Ministry, Industry and Academics sector and to share their expert views and motivate the faculty to face the multi-challenge competitive Indian environment. The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Neeraj Sharma, Director, NSTEDB. The participants was from various polytechnics’ faculty members under administrative control of Directorate of Training & Technical Education, Govt. of Delhi The experts gave latest inputs in the topics like Management of Change; Human Capital and Knowledge Management; Technology Management; Communication Management; Stress and Conflict Management; Individual Behaviour; Problem solving and Decision Making Process Management; Role of IT for Entrepreneurship in the era of Globalization; Impact of Globalization on SME’s in India; Attributes of a good Trainer; Time Management; Evolution of Management; HR New Strategies; Team Building, Motivation; Leadership Rules & Qualities; Marketing Strategies; Personality Development Management etc. Participants were also visited Milestone Engineering Pvt. Limited at Gurgaon, Haryana. The Valedictory address was delivered by Prof. S. K. Garg, Dean, Department of Industrial Management, Delhi College of Engineering, New Delhi and also awarded certificate to the participants.
  • Organized 2nd Management Development Programme (MDP) from 20th – 24th December, 2006 for the faculty & officers of Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT), New Delhi. Shri H.L. Bajaj, Member (Tech.,), Appellate Tribunal of Electricity, Govt. of India inaugurated the programme and Prof. (Dr.) Ranjit Singh, Director, NSIT presided on 20th December, 2006. Dr. N.V. Vasani, Vice Chancellor, Nirma University of Science & Technology, Ahmedabad graced the occasion. Dr. P.K. Gupta, Secretary General, NAFEN welcomed the participants and briefed about the programme. Prof. P.N. Kathuria proposed a vote of thanks. NAFEN Resource experts shared their experiences and motivated the faculty & officers of NSIT to face the multi-challenge environment. 26 Faculty & Officers attended the programme and interacted with the NAFEN Resource persons. The Experts gave latest inputs about the topics like Managerial Effectiveness, Stress Management, Personality Development, Decision Making Process, Management by Objectives, Leadership Qualities, Group Dynamics etc., with classroom system and group discussions. The valedictory session on 24th December, 2006 was chaired by Dr. H.K. Mittal, Advisor & Head, NSTEDB, Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India & presided by Prof. (Dr.) Ranjit Singh, Director, NSIT and awarded merit certificates to each participant. Shri Amitabha Basu, Director (Technical), Intercontinental Consultants & Technocrats Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi also graced the Valedictory Session as Guest of Honour.

  • 7th two weeks Faculty Development Programme for Entrepreneurship Development under full support from National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB), Department of Science & Technology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India from 26th December, 2006 to 9th January, 2007 at NAFEN office, New Delhi. The main objective of the Ministry is to support such type of programmes, to train as many professionals as possible to act as the resource persons for promoting Entrepreneurship among the students. To meet this objective, NAFEN draws various resource experts from Ministry, Industry & Academia to share their expert views and motivate the faculty to face the multi-challenge global competitive Indian environment. The program was inaugurated on 26th December, 2006 by Dr. H.K. Mittal, Advisor & Head, NSTEDB, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India The participants were from various polytechnics' faculty members under administrative control of Directorate of Training & Technical Education, Govt. of Delhi The experts gave latest inputs in the topics like Evolution of Management; Management of Change; Human Capital and Knowledge Management; Technology Management; Communication Skills; Stress and Conflict Management; Individual Behaviour; Problem solving and Decision Making Process Management; Role of IT for Entrepreneurship in the era of Globalization; Impact of Globalization on SME's in India; Attributes & its Measurement; Time Management; HR New Strategies; Team Building, Motivation; Leadership Rules & Qualities; Marketing Strategies; Personality Development Management etc. Participants also visited Milestone Engineering Pvt. Limited at Gurgaon, Haryana. Faculty also interacts with a Successful Entrepreneur Mr. Shashi Aggarwal, Managing Director of Milestone Engineering. Valedictory address was delivered by Mr. Ashwani Gupta, Advisor, Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India on 9th January, 2007. He also awarded certificates to the participants.

  • Oorganized Two Weeks Technology Empowerment Programme for Non-Teaching Staff & Officers of Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT) from December 03, 2007 to December 15, 2007 at NSIT Campus, Dwarka, New Delhi. Dr. Ranjit Singh, Director, NSIT was inaugurated the programme. Dr. P.K. Gupta, Secretary General, NAFEN welcomed the participants and briefed about the programme and its advantages. More than 40 participants attended the programme and interacted with the NAFEN Resource persons and got empowered with the latest IT skills and know how related to Computer. NAFEN experts gave latest inputs about varioust elements of Computer Proficiency other essential packages and information to groom the participants to be competent with Computer Efficiency for personal and professional endeavors. The Valedictory Session was held on December, 15, 2007 chaired by Prof. (Dr.) A. P. Mittal, Dean (IRD), NSIT and awarded merit certificates to each participant.
